The practice of Judaism is incompatible with the embrace of non-Jewish religious texts. This is the answer to the questions you posed.

Yes, I think the two faiths are positioned to be allies. But on the nature of religious texts I suspect we will have to agree to disagree.

In order to remain Jewish, you would have to insist that the Torah is better. I would be more objective, being neither Jew nor Muslim.

I do not doubt that some Jews believe this, but I disagree. My position is only that the Torah is the best religious text for Jews - it taps into something ancestral for us. Personally, I have no issue viewing the Koran as a valid religious document which simply speaks to a different audience.
